“Sherman just decided a couple months ago that he wanted to compete in powerlifting. Had only been lifting weights for a few months and has now only been training heavy for about 2 months. He stepped onto the platform with all kinds of enthusiasm and excitement. Was a blast to coach and watch. He ended up squatting 209, benching 143 after not being able to bench for 2 weeks before due to a shoulder injury and deadlifting 264 pounds. Takes a lot of guts to step onto a platform with everyone watching and with strict judging, especially for the first time with not exposure to it before. He will be looking to hit more PRs in june. He weighs about 155 pounds and is sub 8% bodyfat. Also does all of his training in small groups.”
