To climb any mountain you must put forth a sequence of consecutive steps before you reach the top. ALL of the steps must be taken in order to get to the top of that mountain. It is impossible to skip them and any detours, side trails, or back tracking will of course require you to take more steps to get to the top of that mountain (your goal).
Often times with health and performance endeavors we are so amped up to achieve the intended result that all we do is try to leap to the top of the mountain with countless failures and increasing frustration (‘testing’). Instead of staying focused and putting all of your steps (‘training’) in enthusiastically knowing that you are heading right toward your goal and it’s just a matter of steps until you get there.
